Dissemination of the SHA Rapid Assessment Report and the onboarding of the RMNCAHN Champion of the Motion Tracker Excerises
July 24 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Warm greetings from the Health NGOs Network (HENNET),
On behalf of HENNET, we are delighted to invite you to participate in the Virtual Dissemination of the RMNCAHN Rapid Assessment Findings on the Social Health Authority (SHA) Framework, scheduled as follows:
Background and Rationale
As Kenya continues to implement the Social Health Authority (SHA) as a key pillar of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), there is a growing need to ensure that reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, adolescent health and nutrition (RMNCAHN) services are adequately financed, equitably accessible, and sustainably integrated within the national health financing framework. Achieving these objectives requires robust evidence to inform policy, reimbursement mechanisms, and strategic investments that respond to the health needs of women, children, adolescents, and vulnerable populations.
In response to this need, HENNET, working in collaboration with technical experts and county stakeholders, conducted SHA Rapid Assessment on RMNCAHN services to generate evidence on the availability, scope, quality, and cost of services provided at both community and facility levels. The assessment also documented proposed reimbursement tariffs for consideration within the SHA framework. The findings provide valuable insights into existing service delivery gaps, cost variations, and opportunities to strengthen financing mechanisms while advancing equitable access to quality RMNCAHN services across the country.
Therefore, the dissemination meeting has been convened to present these findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, facilitate validation of the proposed recommendations, and foster dialogue on their implications for policy, financing, and implementation. It will also provide an important platform for sharing perspectives, strengthening collaboration, and identifying collective actions that will support the successful integration of RMNCAHN services within the evolving SHA benefit package and reimbursement framework.
The meeting will seek to:
- Present the key findings of the RMNCAHN Rapid Assessment, including evidence on service availability, quality, cost variations, and the proposed reimbursement tariffs for integration into the SHA framework.
- Facilitate dialogue on the policy and programmatic implications of the findings and opportunities for integrating RMNCAHN services into national and county health financing mechanisms.
- Promote stakeholder validation and ownership of the assessment findings and recommendations to strengthen evidence-based policy formulation, advocacy, and implementation.
- Strengthen collaboration among government institutions, county health teams, development partners, civil society organizations, professional associations, academia, and RMNCAHN champions in advancing equitable, quality, and sustainable RMNCAHN services under the SHA framework.
- Build consensus on priority actions and partnerships required to enhance accountability, improve service delivery, and accelerate progress towards Universal Health Coverage.
Your organization has played a significant role in advancing RMNCAHN, family planning, and broader health systems strengthening in Kenya. We therefore highly value your participation and believe your technical expertise, strategic insights, and experience will make an important contribution to the discussions. Your engagement will be instrumental in validating the findings, informing policy dialogue, and shaping coordinated actions that strengthen health financing and improve health outcomes for women, children, adolescents, and families across Kenya.
