Expression of Interest (EOI) for Sub-Grant for Primary Health Care Advocacy

About Us
The Health NGOs’ Network (HENNET) is a membership organization that seeks to promote civil society’s roles and engagements to transform Kenya’s health sector to enhance their responses towards health needs of Kenyans with a vision of a health Kenyan Society. HENNET was founded in 2005. The network is governed by a Board of Directors with an executive committee as defined by its constitution and is widely seen by its peers as the appropriate and unbiased coordinator and convener of the CSO health sector. Functionality and everyday operations are managed by the secretariat staff under the leadership of the Executive Director. Our strategic position with the government through MoH, National Assembly and Council of Governors and other key stakeholders in health gives us a unique niche in representation of health CSOs in policy and decision-making processes, articulating and highlighting the needs of the different constituents of the CSOs that we represent. Our strategic positioning mandates us to Coordinate capacity building initiatives, enhance creation of strategic partnerships, collaborations, networking, and facilitate information sharing among health CSOs.
Purpose
This sub-grant is to enhance and support innovative, impactful, and sustainable PHC Advocacy that contributes to the goal of strengthening health systems and improving health outcomes. We are seeking proposals from organizations that demonstrate a commitment to advancing primary health care through innovative solutions, advocacy, community engagement and effective implementation strategies.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants must:
- Be a registered non-governmental organization (NGO), community-based organization (CBO), or non-profit organization (registration should be up to date.
- Be a registered member of HENNET
- Have a proven track record in implementing health advocacy related projects.
- Demonstrate capacity to manage and implement grant-funded projects effectively.
- Commit to collaborating with HENNET and other stakeholders in the PHC Coalition.
Priority Areas
The Proposal should address all the following objective areas:
- PHC Policy implementation and monitoring at county level
- Robust/Strong coordinated advocacy CSO constituency for PHC at county and economic blocs’ level
- Improved/Strengthened Accountability Structures for PHC
- Address bottlenecks and gaps in Maternal newborn, child, adolescent health and Nutrition (RMNCAHN) and Family Planning
The Grant aims to Enhance PHC advocacy in the following Counties; Nairobi, Kisumu, Kakamega, Kitui, Baringo, Laikipia, Kwale, and Isiolo.
