SUMMARY:Civil Society Sensitization on Data for Health (A sensitization on the proposed birth and death bill.)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Member\,\n\nGreetings from HENNET.\n\nWe are pleased to invite you to a Civil Society Organization sensitization meeting on the proposed Births and Deaths Registration Bill\, 2025.\nThe proposed Bill seeks to modernize Kenya’s civil registration framework by strengthening the right to legal identity\, promoting inclusion\, and aligning the law with the Constitution of Kenya\, 2010 and international child rights standards. The reforms have significant implications for child protection\, health\, education\, social protection\, and access to essential services.\n\nThe sensitization session will provide an opportunity for CSOs to understand the proposed reforms\, examine their implications\, and contribute to advocacy towards a more inclusive and rights centered civil registration system in Kenya.\n\nTo confirm participation\, kindly register using the link below:\nRegistration Link\n\nUpon successful registration\, participants will receive the meeting invitation link and additional event details.\nPlease note that the meeting is open to CSOs and stakeholders from across the country. However\, participants joining from outside Nairobi will be expected to cater for their own transport and related logistical arrangements.\n\nWe look forward to your participation and valuable contribution to this important conversation.\n\nKind regards\,\n\nHealth NGOs’ Network (HENNET)
